In 2005, when Ben Johnson’s Patchy Jr. was inducted into the Appaloosa Hall of Fame, it was clear that there weren’t many of the foundation breeders around anymore and so we wanted to celebrate the history of the 20th century’s contributions to the breed by spotlighting breeders and horses that have helped to define the breed.
